The Broken Mirror River

The river in my new town has only once completely froze over in 1963. So this weekend has been a huge talking point! I missed the opportunity to capture it as it was completely set and looked like a pure white walkway :( But I went down today and it was the most amazing sight! The weather had gotten a bit warmer as the sun had decided to make an appearance, so the river started to thaw out making the ice brake apart. It developed into a scene like a broken mirror with the shards of ice melting and reflecting the forrest around it! Simply stunning these pictures don't even do it justice.

 

Dear Snow..

You are so beautiful to sit and daydream at, especially when you set on the branches, ferns and plants of mother nature oh so perfectly, that I have the strong desire to capture you with my camera. But you are too cold! You make my toes numb and my cheeks and nose rosey! I have to wrap up extra warm to keep you from giving me the flu but I do appreciate you very much, just please go away until next christmas again!

Tea Cures Everything <3

I slept in again and I had soo much to do today but now it all has to wait til saturday cos I was supposed to get today off but someone wrote me in on the rota without asking me ! The cheek! I'm letting it slide this time, though next time .. grrr !! Working soon til 10 then I have to go straight to bed to work tomorrow 7am to 4pm! :( When I have to do these big hours I always try to find about 15 minutes or so to sit with a cuppa tea and stare into nothing and just let my mind go blank. I don't know what you call this but I love it, it makes me feel so much more relaxed. I don't know if others do this please let me know if you do so I don't seem weird :P I had bagels too this time.. Sooo yummy:)

Minus WHAT DEGREES?!!

A day late but I've been working nights lately and just been crashing out so I still count this as yesterdays cos I SAY SO :D ! But oh my golly how cold was yesterday! I lost the feeling of my fingers and toes it was going past minus 7 ! BRRRRR!!!

My day has been a mess ! So many highs and lows and these are only a few! I know they are half an hour late but they were all on the one page but when I tried to take a picture it was too far away so I have to do each on their own ! Ahh bedtime see you tomorrow :)

Today has been a long day. I slept in til right before my shift. Rushed to get ready and only home a wee while there so I have jumped straight back into my jammies :D I drew one of my christmas presents ! It's my favourite by a mile apart from Ice Age 3, its a close runner up :D
